How to Install SSL on a Domain in cPanel

Requirements for us to install your SSL:

For SSL to be installed on a domain, the domain must be pointing to our servers. This is required for the SSL to be authorised by the SSL provider. To point a domain to our servers the nameservers for that domain must be set to our nameservers or the A Record for that domain must be pointing to our server IP address.

Procedure:

  1. Ensure your domain is pointing to our server either using the domain nameservers we provide or via the server IP address.
  2. Login to cPanel.
  3. Go to the SSL/TLS Status page in the Security section.
  4. Click the Run AutoSSL button.
  5. Refresh the page to check if the SSL has been installed before the Run AutoSSL button has completed/stopped spinning.
  6. In cPanel go to “WordPress Manager by Softaculous” and install your new WordPress using the https:// dropbox option or update your existing WordPress installation to use the SSL by logging into WordPress admin and go to Settings ➜ General in left menu and ensure the WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address (URL) both have the “s” in the “http” part. eg. https://mydomain.com.au, then click Save Changes at bottom of page.

Note: Some links or images you have added into the page content may also need to be manually updated to include the “s”.
