How to download weekly cPanel backups

Our systems automatically take a weekly backup of all hosting accounts. We retain 2 weekly backups of each account remotely off site. These backups include your entire cPanel hosting account including all files, emails, databases and settings.

Please note these automatic server backups are weekly. If you want to download a full backup of your account as your data is right now this can be done via cPanel ➜ Files ➜ Backup. We have an article for that here : How to backup a full account in cPanel

Downloading an automatic backup:

1 – Login to your cPanel

2 – Go to Files ➜ JetBackup

3 – In JetBackup click Full Backup. You will see a list of available stored backups.

4 – To download a backup click the Generate Download button for the backup you want to download.

5 – Click Add to Download Queue.

6 – Click the Download/Restore in Progress (Click for Queue) button.

7 – You will see the download of your backup is being prepared. Once the status changes from Pending to Completed you are then ready to download. Click the Go Back button then click on the Full Backup button.

8 – You will see the link “Download” is now available next to the backup you selected. Click the Download button to save the backup file to your computer.
