We recommend using the free Filezilla FTP client.
You can download Filezilla from here: https://filezilla-project.org/
Below are the standard settings to configure an FTP client.
For FTP:
Protocal: FTP
Host/Hostname: ftp.yourdomain.com.au
Port: 21
Encryption: Use explicit FTP over TLS if available
Logon Type: Normal
Username: your cPanel username
Password: your cPanel password
Go to the Transfer Settings tab:
Tick on “Limit number of simultaneous connections”
Set “Maximum number of connections” to 8.
The first time you connect, a popup will ask you to confirm the security certificate. You can safely click confirm to allow for a secure connection.
For SFTP:
Protocal: SFTP
Host/Hostname: ftp.yourdomain.com.au
Port: 5050
Logon Type: Normal
Username: your cPanel username
Password: your cPanel password
Go to the Transfer Settings tab:
Tick on “Limit number of simultaneous connections”
Set “Maximum number of connections” to 8.
